Log Home Chinking/Sealants

Applying sealants to your log joints and check cracks can eliminate thousands of entry points for moisture to enter your structure’ surface. Not only can this make a large improvement in air infiltration, but it also allows the coatings to perform better by not allowing moisture and mold to form behind the face surface of the logs. Some log profiles have internal seals and profile overlaps that prevent water-shelving and may not require stack sealants.
